Platform is a multi-level English course for adults and young adults. It is the result of four years of advanced research in ELT methodology and synthesises the best of modern-day techniques and methodology in language learning.
Platform is the only method to date that has been fully developed in line with the Common European Framework and the EOI classroom and has been independently benchmarked by experts at the University of Roehampton.
Platform caters to the needs of today’s changing classroom, making real, everyday English accessible to all, right from day one. Level 1 integrates a skills-based methodology with original up-to-date texts which students use in ways that replicate life as it really is.
Platform is learner-centred, beginning with what students know, and building upon this to give them the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to deal with the intricacies of language both inside and outside the classroom.
Platform includes approximately 120 hours of teaching material. Students have solid support, a great variety of tasks and lots of appropriate practice. There are many opportunities for assessment and all the tools students require to maximise learner autonomy.
